My name is Pamela. I am currently attending the University of Central Florida to pursue my bachelor’s degree in writing and rhetoric. My involvement with PBCCAN has stretched from Sports Director, my former position, to Communications Director, my current position. Over the years I have sought out new non-profits to add to the directory, gathered information for events to be promoted, and managed PBCCAN’s blog, text service, and social media accounts. Having the opportunity to reach out to Palm Beach County through PBCCAN has not only been an honor, but an integral stepping stone in flourishing my appreciation for community service. Before I took on my responsibilities with PBCCAN I did not realize how important volunteerism is for our society. However, after witnessing the overwhelming amount of participation and support the events I have promoted have drawn, I have developed an immense appreciation for my district as a whole; people of all ages and, no matter their backgrounds, continue to come together to help improve the lives of others. As long as there are individuals out there willing to carry on this cause, I will continue to relay reliable and up-to-date information to my community.

In 2016, we began the Community Angel Network Student Text Service in order to help students stay aware of volunteer opportunities as they become available in Palm Beach County. In this digital age, it is so convenient to have updates delivered straight to your phone so you are always in the know about organizations in need of your help or get in those last few service hours for graduation! The best part is, it's absolutely free of charge. We encourage all partner organizations listed in our directory to send us their events seeking volunteers ages 13+. This text service would not be offered without the gracious help of our sponsor, Goody Two Shoes.
